Pheasant Ridge, located in Roanoke, Virginia, is a 60-acre senior housing and healthcare community with continued development by Smith/Packett since 1996. Jim Smith, the founder of Smith/Packett, acquired the property and commenced construction of a 58-bed skilled nursing facility in concert with the City of Roanoke.

Today, the campus includes a 128-unit active adult condominium project (built in four phases); a 90-unit assisted living facility, including a specialized Alzheimer’s care unit; a 101-bed skilled nursing home; a new rental independent living facility; a new independent living facility; and, a 184,000 square foot office park, which includes Smith/Packett’s corporate headquarters as well as an advanced Wellness Center.  

The Village on Pheasant Ridge, the new 95-unit independent living facility, opened in August of 2007, and is the premiere senior living address for a discerning urban lifestyle. The four-story building provides unique and spectacular views from the personal terraces of the one or two bedroom apartments.
