Smith/Packett is working diligently with the Richmond community to move foward with their plans to build a master development campus, named University Park, which will be a 37 acre campus located in the prestigious “West End” of Richmond.
The continuing care retirement campus will feature distinctive neighborhoods reflecting the unique architectural styles of various Richmond neighborhoods like the “Fan” and “Windsor Farms”. The campus will have a “town center” with shops, and a 10,000 square foot club house. The campus adjoins an existing health rehabilitation center, The Laurels at University Park, which will be substantially renovated into a predominantly private room 145 bed facility. Other complementary uses include 42 active adult cottages, 210 ownership independent living units, 172 independent living apartments, and 80 assisted living units.
